Sylvie, a survivor of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi, is now facing another life-altering battle after being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Sylvie is a devoted mother of four, with her youngest son just 6 years old. She is a loving sister, aunt, and friend who has always shown up for her community, offering support and care to friends and family whenever she could.


As Sylvie begins chemotherapy, she needs our help to cover the cost of her cancer treatment and other hospital medical bills. This is an incredibly challenging time for her and her family, both emotionally and financially. The funds raised will help pay for her treatment, hospital bills, and support her family so she can focus on what matters most: her healing and her loved ones.
