Support Sylvia's Family Honor Margarita

Hello everyone, my name is Sylvia and I’m trying to help my family raise money for the recent passing of my grandma on May 7, 2024 at the age of 86. These funds will be used for the funeral cost and service to lay her in peace. This was a complete unexpected tragedy due to an accident in her home, that led to an emergency surgery and then her body not being able to recover.

As the matriarch of the Quinones family it’s extremely important for me that she is given a proper and lovely memorial as we say our final good byes. For the past 20 years I’ve been away from home because I was active duty in the US Navy and missed so many opportunities to support my family during times like this. I have a lot of guilt being away from my family during these times because of my military obligations or on deployment out at sea. My close first cousin was murder in 2019 and missed the moment to grieve with my family because I was going through Chief initiation.

I’m grateful last year after I retired from the military I was able to see my grandma for the first time in years. This time I’m able to finally go home and pay respect to the woman who was the foundation of our family. My grandma was the only grandparent I knew my entire life. Margarita “Pilo” Delgado Quinones, my grandma was the blue print to femininity and grace. Her gentle love, calm demeanor and fashion style were of the few things I hoped to have as a woman.
