On September 3rd, my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor after what began as a simple cataract surgery consultation. During her eye exam, she failed a vision test, and further testing led to an MRI that revealed the tumor. She is scheduled for surgery on October 22nd at UCLA, where doctors will perform a craniotomy to remove as much of the tumor as possible, followed by several weeks of radiation.

This has been a devastating and overwhelming time for our family. Along with the emotional toll, my mom is facing major medical expenses, the costs of traveling back and forth to UCLA for her treatments, and the time away from work. We are setting up this fundraiser to help cover medical bills, travel expenses, and the basic needs she will have during her recovery.
