Support Sylvia Rose's Fresh Start Journey

Hello, I'm Sylvia Rose. I am a 43-year-old transfemme (she/her) creative. I have ADHD, autism, and possibly bi-polar type 2. As such, employment has always been difficult to maintain for long. I am currently between jobs and streaming on Twitch.tv/malkavian_grin to both fundraise and build a queer community.

My living situation has been stable for two years but was often threatened out of manipulation. I was not allowed to disagree with the landlord or I would be screamed at to leave that day and "I don't care where you end up". The following day I would be told how that was always an idle threat, yet it happened at least ten times. Often enough I have anxiety about it. One final time I was told get out at the end of the month despite giving them most of my unemployment each week, unable to save since the rest when to food.

I refuse to be manipulated and disrespected on a constant basis, so I am leaving on May 1st. A good friend of mine has bought me a ticket to fly to Portland, OR. However, beyond a temporary couch, I will have nowhere to go. This fundraiser will help me find quick lodgings while I figure out a job. At the very least, it will get me a tent for someone's backyard.

This is a chance at a fresh start for me. A new chapter of life. Thanks for listening.
