Today, I am sharing my story with you. My cancer came back after 20+ years. My diagnosis is Advanced Metastatic Breast Cancer which has spread to my bones, lymph nodes, and liver.

I started my chemotherapy treatments last August (2024). I would like to let you know I am still in danger. I’m not yet out of the woods. I still have a long way to go in my treatments.

Sylvia's Story:

It all started with upper abdominal pain in May 2024. The pain started as tolerable but it was constant until it got to be so unbearable. It was a debilitating pain. I couldn’t move. It was eating my energy up.

In July 2024, I received a devastating news that my breast cancer came back and has already metastasized. I am still having abdominal pain from these lesions and the strong pain medication helps a lot. I am very weak and I lost a lot of weight.

I went through a lot of tests and procedures. CT scans, biopsies, ultrasounds, MRCP, PETSCAN. And more to come.

I started my first round of chemotherapy on Aug. 12, 2024.

I believe in my team of medical professionals and the support of my family, friends, and strangers.

I pray that God will allow me to survive this ordeal so I can be a witness to His great Power and enjoy time with my family.
