Hello, my name is Nicole Arizaga. My mom's name is Sylvia Ayala. I am writing with a big lump in my throat because our family has been faced with an unexpected curveball. My mom was recently diagnosed with AML (acute myloid leukemia). Unfortunately, the results of the biopsies performed came out positive and my mom will have to undergo more chemotherapy to defeat this disease.
My parents are hardworking and have always done their best to give us everything we need. I know these next few months are going to be very difficult.
