Support Sydney and Miles Through This Medical Crisis

Many of you know Sydney as the help, she’s always the one out and about tending to horses, riding, giving lessons, and striving to not only please people, but to give horses a better future and relationship with their owners alike.
She needs your help now more then ever-as her beloved Miles(Jockey Club name “Columbian Secret”) is suffering again from colic and was hauled to Virginia Techs Marion DuPont for emergency intervention.
Back in the early spring, Miles suffered a colic severe enough to land Sydney a tough decision to make-in that, despite all of the obstacles in front of her she was able to get Miles the life saving surgery he needed. He healed well, and Sydney tended to his every single need day and night with little help(however also great-full for the help she had and the gracious flexibility of her barn and employers). Lately, Miles has had reoccurring colic episodes that have required veterinary intervention from all angles. Such of course, extremely financially draining. Every cent of her savings and hard work she’s accomplished so young is unfortunately depleted, and Miles still needs care. Not to mention the hospital bill we will find out more about in detail this evening.
Currently we know that Miles has a mild impaction which he’s suffered from but that has also improved through the last week(all leading to the likely cause of adhesions developing during the healing process since the original surgery). VT also confirmed he has double the fluid surrounding his stomach and of abnormal coloration, which is awaiting test results.
Miles has been a stoic boy, and Sydney has fought for her composure to keep him with her and find out what why and how to get him through this.
But in order to continue to keep Miles by her side, the first horse she’s ever purchased for herself, and her best friend, she needs our help. If you know, or know of Sydney, you probably know this fundraising effort was a very difficult one for her to agree to be publicly put out in the open for everyone to see-and I’m glad she was more great-full then anything to just let it happen.
If you can help shine a little light in this dark time for her, she will be forever great-full no matter the amount. And if you cannot, just send her and Miles positive vibes❤️
We will list updates, and I’m certain Sydney will on her page as well!
