In Loving Memory of Sy Bui: Funeral & Medical Fund
Donation protected
My name is Hang Bui, and I’m the daughter of Sy Bui, a beloved and well-known tailor in the Port Arthur community. On March 31st, my father texted me saying he wasn’t feeling well. I called an ambulance and rushed to be by his side at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. That night, he underwent several tests: blood work, urine samples, and a CT scan.
The next morning, we received devastating news: my dad’s liver and kidneys were failing. He was diagnosed with terminal hepatorenal syndrome, a life-threatening condition that requires a liver transplant. His organs are functioning at only 10%.
Since then, he’s been transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, where doctors are now recommending hospice care. But we’re not giving up. My dad is a fighter, and we are doing everything we can to give him a chance. He deserves that chance.
We are reaching out to our friends and community for support. The medical expenses, travel costs, and care he needs are overwhelming, and we can’t do it alone. Any donation (big or small) will go directly toward helping us fight for his life and support him through this difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, prayers, and support.
With love,
Hang Bui
