Support Sweet Ms. Sandy

Donation protected
Hello everyone!

We are reaching out to humbly ask for your help and support for our dear Sandy. This past Thanksgiving week, our friends were traveling in Colorado to visit their family, when Sandy fell on the ice outside her vehicle. In an effort to protect her head, she ended up falling on her entire right side breaking both her humerus (shoulder) and her tibia (knee). This was the start of what would be a very long and difficult car ride that would take them down the mountain to the hospital almost two hours away while enduring excruciating pain. Sandy's entire right side is inflamed and bruised and she has required around-the-clock care. Currently, she is unable to raise her right arm or put any weight on her right leg - confining her to a wheelchair. She will most likely require surgery to help heal her broken bones. Doctors have suggested for her to stay in Colorado until she is adequately healed to travel. Her loving husband, Bill, has been by her side and will be able to work remotely. However, they will still be very far from their friends and family in Wisconsin and will be staying with her mom and sister in Denver while she recovers.

Sandy's livelihood is cleaning homes for people and this will not be a possibility for some time while she begins the healing process. As her husband, Bill, continues to sacrificially work remotely while caring for Sandy, the reality is these unplanned medical expenses are accumulating quickly. Their immediate need is to help cover transportation, medical, and livelihood expenses while they remain in Colorado. There is also still a home to maintain in Wisconsin.

Sandy is a faith-filled prayer warrior who continues to be the hands and feet of Christ in everything she does and is always the first to help those in need. Amongst this very difficult and humbling time for her, she continues to see Christ’s love and mission for her life. Thank you for opening your hearts to a piece of Sandy’s story. We covet your prayers over the next 12-16 weeks and if you are able, please consider donating or helping in some other way.

With heartfelt gratitude,
The friends and family of Bill and Sandy Zavatchin

Just a few testimony's that speak to Sandy's impact and loving care --

Our dear Ms. Sandy! There are few people that have supported my faith more - or that I hold more precious in this life. The stories & tears - both tummy-buckling hilarious & gut-wrenchingly sad - are endless. That is life, alongside a sister of faith. She has tenderly held my hand through marriage & raising babies & pointed me back to Jesus time & time again. Without the ability to ever properly repay her for how she has built into me & generations of my family, it is a grand privilege to be able to support her in this way.

How is it even possible to put this amazing, God honoring, woman into words? There is no one like her and the impact she's had on my life is beyond what words could ever describe. Time and time again she demonstrates such sacrificial love. She has been there and pointed me to the Lord through all the valleys and mountains and continues to shine Christ's light in a broken world. It is such a blessing to know her.

Sandy takes her lead from Jesus Christ. The understanding, compassion, patience, coaching, teaching, and faith that Sandy pours into every soul she meets can only come from someone who has yielded their spirit to Christ for the glory of God. Anyone who has been blessed to have their weary soul cross paths with Sandy knows that there is hope in the One who was sent to save ourselves from ourselves, Jesus Christ. Now, in this time that God has set aside for Sandy to physically rest, but still witness far from home, it is our turn to lift Sandy up. It is our turn to pray without ceasing, to be the hands and feet that Sandy physically can’t be at this time and follow the Spirit as He points us to what Christ would have us do for Sandy at this time. Sandy, you are loved on earth and above the clouds! Deuteronomy 31:8
