Hey everyone! Normally I wouldn’t do this, but this is something extremely important to both me and my family. About a week ago I noticed my dog Ellie had something going on. Every night I got home, she’d greet me at the front door waiting for pats and pets (she’s such a kind and loving dog); however, I noticed that she was kind of walking sideways. I’m not sure how better to explain that. On top of that, when I turned the light on, I noticed that the right side of her face was drooping. She lost motor function on her right side. We immediately took her to a vet in Columbia, and they gave us possibilities: severe meningitis and/or cancer in her brain. We were able to afford bloodwork to confirm if meningitis was the problem. Luckily for us, that came back negative. However, she’s still dealing with something, and we can't afford an MRI to confirm and treat cancer if she has it.

For those that have met Ellie, you know that she’s quite frankly the SWEETEST girl you’ll ever meet. She was a rescue that we adopted in 2019 and has been nothing but an angel. Always listens, always down to play, loves to run, just an overall sweetheart. She was abused as a puppy, and with that came extensive trauma that caused her to not trust so easily, but eventually, she eases up and lets people pet her. She’s my pretty girl Ellie.

We’re making this GoFundMe in hopes that we can get her the answers and the treatment she deserves. The Vet told us that the overall price point of an MRI is around $5,000, so that’s what we’re shooting for. We completely understand that this stuff is hard, and it’s not absolutely necessary for you to donate; even just a share helps out so much.
