Running for Her. Fighting for Others.

Cancer has a way of changing a family forever. For my family, breast cancer became a chapter we never wanted to live through—but one that ultimately showed us just how strong my mom truly is.
My mom beat breast cancer. Through the fear, uncertainty, treatments, and countless difficult days, she fought her way to the other side. Today, I have the incredible privilege of watching her live as a survivor—and I don't take that for granted for a single second.

To honor her victory, I’m taking on a challenge of my own: a Spartan Race.

This race will be difficult. There will be mud, obstacles, exhaustion, and plenty of moments when my body tells me to stop. But every time I want to quit, I'll think about what my mom endured and the strength it took for her to keep going.

I’m running this race in her honor and using it as an opportunity to give back to the people who helped give our family that victory.

I’m raising money for the Swedish American Health Foundation, the organization supporting the hospital and healthcare community that played such an important role in my mom’s journey through breast cancer.

My goal is bigger than simply crossing a finish line. I want to turn my mom’s victory into hope for other families facing cancer—to help support the care, resources, and medical professionals who make stories like hers possible.

For my mom, who fought and won.
For everyone still fighting.
And for the hope of many more victories to come.

As we near October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I reminded of the blessing it is to have access to such a wonderful Hospital and team. They really do spread hope like wildflowers.

If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you’ll be helping me honor my mom and support an incredible cause that means so much to our family.

Thank you for being part of this journey.
