Support Suzie Webster and her Family

March 23, 2025 Update:
The time is now to support Jason and Suzie Webster. Despite every effort at curing Suzie’s cancer, the physicians have informed her and Jason that it continues to spread. All treatment options, except for more IV chemotherapy, have been exhausted. Almost every family I know has been affected by cancer. That being said, more of us than I’d like to acknowledge know the extreme physical and emotional tolls that chemotherapy causes. Suzie will be continuing to receive her treatment at the incomparable Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Jason, and their three children, will be at her side every moment they physically can. Household finances and daily living expenses should be the LAST thing on their mind and heart, and it my strongest plea that we do all in our collective powers to make that the case. Please help, in any way you can, to relieve the yoke of financial burden. We are living in a world that is more expensive than ever, and I fully acknowledge that. We’re all living paycheck to paycheck. But. BUT. Suzie Webster has always shown up. Jason Webster had always shown up. They have been there for so many of us, on our brightest days and our darkest hours.
Money means nothing. No amount can give this precious angel what she needs, which is a cure and more time. It can, however, be the one thing we lift off their shoulders.
I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, in advance for any contribution you are able to make.
Hi, my name is Candace Mills and along with my husband and many other wonderful people, I am raising money to help support a woman who is precious not only to me, but to countless other people.
To put it in the most simple of terms, Suzie Webster is the best person I know. She is a straight up gift to humanity, and right now she is in the fight of her life.
In June of 2018, Suzie was diagnosed with Stage 3, ER/PR +, HER2- breast cancer. She did everything right. Every. Thing. RIGHT. She underwent multiple surgeries, completed chemotherapy, and radiation. Her treatment was directed by an amazing, multidisciplinary team of physicians at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Suzie spent days and weeks at a time away from her home, taking on the physically and mentally arduous task of fighting an illness that tried to claim her life.
After five years, when she should have been celebrating being cured, she received a phone call that would change everything.
A new diagnostic test that can detect the presence of cancer in your blood up to year sooner than a PET Scan had yielded a positive result.
Her medical team immediately brought her back to Mayo Clinic, where a PET Scan confirmed the recurrence of cancer, this time with metastasis to her liver and her spine. An automatic Stage 4 diagnosis.
Suzie will now begin all over again, fighting this cancer, undergoing a multitude of disease targeted therapies and doing everything right, just like she did before. Her medical team at Mayo Clinic has outlined a highly specialized treatment plan that will mean more trips back and forth to Jacksonville, and more financial burden placed on their family. The blood test that likely saved her life costs in the thousands of dollars, and is not covered by insurance.
When someone in the family has cancer, the entire family suffers with cancer. Jason, Suzie’s husband, has been by her side at every moment. She has told me many times of her gratitude for God providing her such a husband to stand by her in these difficult times. Their three beautiful children have shown maturity beyond their years, and compassion that can only be learned through suffering. I am more than honored to call the Webster’s my friends.
Suzie and Jason Webster are givers. They freely give their time, their artistic talent, their love, their kindness to any and everyone. Now it’s time once again to come together and give to them.
Leaving a message of support means everything, and I’m also asking those who are able to donate any amount that will go towards helping Suzie and her family offset the financial hardship of cancer survival. Your generous donations and support will allow Jason to spend time away from his job at Brevard County Fire Rescue, and more time with Suzie and their children. All money raised will go directly to the Webster’s.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me support precious Suzie, Jason, Preston, Carter, and Caroline.
