Help Suzie and Adelina Start Over: A Call for Support

Hi, I’m Suzie, a dedicated mom to my beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Adelina. Despite being a strong, independent woman, I find myself in an incredibly difficult situation, and I’m humbly reaching out for support during this challenging time.

I never thought I’d be in a position like this. After going through a tough period as a single mom, I met someone last December who seemed like the answer to everything. He was kind, supportive, and a great example to my daughter—at least, that’s what I thought. But over time, things took a dark turn. Lies, manipulation, and emotional abuse became a daily reality. There were threats and incidents that made it clear I needed to leave, but I found myself pulled back in each time.

In July, after a violent confrontation, I moved out, but I was pulled back in again. The cycle of control and abuse escalated. He began managing my finances, limiting my independence, and using money as a tool to manipulate and control me. I’ve always been able to take care of myself and my daughter, but now I’m stuck in a situation where I can’t make ends meet, and I need to get out.

I’ve secured a new job, but it doesn’t start until January. I’ve managed to save $1,000, but I need help covering the costs of moving into a safe space for my daughter and me. I have no family to help me with the move, and the shelter is full. I’m in a position where I don’t have the ability to get my belongings without help, and moving companies are quoting me $800, which I simply can’t afford right now.

That’s where I’m asking for your help.

What I Need:

$800 for moving costs to retrieve our belongings and get us settled into a safe place

Support for the first month’s rent and security deposit for our new home

Any donations toward basic living expenses until I start my new job in January

This is a humbling experience, but I’m determined to rebuild my life for Adelina and me. I’m trying to start fresh, and with your support, we can move forward. Even if you can’t donate, sharing our story can make a huge difference.
