THEN THE HEART BREAK

After fleeing Hurricane Helene, Suzanne's heart led her to Bristol, TN and then-- it broke.

Our inspiring friend Suzanne needs your help as she faces another direct hit-- a life threatening medical crises. Just as she was finding her footing in Bristol, with very little infrastructure (no church community, no job (semi-retired)), a handful of friends and even less. family, she now has a health problem she cannot fix.

Therefore, we are reaching out to friends of Bill W., friends of yours and other open kindhearted people for help. Suzanne is a good human who has dedicated her adult life to serving others, in and out of the rooms, while facilitating healing, growth and a wide range of humanitarian causes. Now she is the one who needs our help to ease her financial burdens as she navigates this unfamiliar territory of relying on others to support her physically, emotionally, practically and financially.

What Happened

56 years ago, at the age of 7, Suzanne was diagnosed with juvenile onset Type 1 diabetes. In her early years she developed a myriad of medical complications because of this unwelcome inhabitant such as neuropathy of the hands and feet and retinopathy which led to laser surgery to correct blood vessels in her eyes.

What it Was Like

As a young adult, Suzanne embarked on a journey of self-discovery, self-empowerment and intuitive living to guide her journey. As she became proficient in alternative healing practices ranging from massage therapy to Reiki to healing touch and others, she applied these methods to relieve diabetic neuropathy and pain while also improving her vision. She carried a message of healing and used her expertise to help many-- ever mindful of her primary purpose which is to help others.

What It Is Like Now

Approximately 2 weeks ago, Suzanne learned that diabetes has impacted her on yet another level. She is now scheduled for a totally unexpected lifesaving triple bypass heart surgery at Johnson City Medical Center on November 24 and finds herself in a vulnerable place not just medically but financially and logistically.

With only a handful of close friends in the Bristol area and little familial assistance, it seems unimaginable that our friend faces such a major surgery without the long-standing support most of us take for granted.
