HI, I'm Christine Johnson, a nurse and 90% service-connected veteran. I am starting this GoFundMe for a dear friend, Suzanne Fields. She lost her husband, Christopher Fields, a retired Navy Veteran, three years ago. Chief Fields was a Gulf War Veteran who died from heart failure, secondary to COPD caused by Burn Pits. Since his death, she has been fighting to get a Widow's pension from the VA. We are now very close, but still waiting to hear. In the meantime, her property taxes are overdue by 18 months (she owes $2,500), and now her plumbing has backed up, resulting in water flooding her only full bathroom, destroying her vanity, floor, and subfloor, and making it hazardous. Her homeowner's deductible is $2000... Suzanne is 67 years old, has SEVERE rheumatoid arthritis and kidney cancer, which have made it impossible for her to continue in her previous career as a hospice nurse. Here is her statement:

"I am reaching out today with this GOFUNDME due to a difficult situation with my property taxes. With my medical bills, emergency home repairs, and vehicle repair, I was only able to pay half of what's needed. I have paid the other half os what's needed, but can't find any avenues for the remainder. I'm a very proud person and have not asked for help, but now I need to ask.
