We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for Suvarna Leela Makkena, who is courageously battling advanced metastatic cancer. Suvarna is not only fighting for her life—she is also a loving mother to a 13-year-old daughter who depends on her every day. As a family living in the United States on an H1B visa with a single source of income, this journey has been emotionally and financially overwhelming.

Suvarna was diagnosed with mucinous ovarian cancer that has metastasized to the lungs and multiple organs. Despite the seriousness of the diagnosis and being in the final stage of cancer, she continues to fight with incredible strength and determination. Over the past months, her family has done everything possible to pursue treatments that may help extend and improve her life. Along with conventional medical care, Suvarna has undergone multiple integrative and supportive treatment approaches to strengthen her body and support her immune system. Unfortunately, many of these therapies are not covered by insurance, and the costs have quickly become overwhelming for the family.

So far, significant expenses have already been paid for treatments including naturopathic oncologist consultations, vitamin C IV infusions, sodium bicarbonate infusions, hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions, specialized supplements and nutritional therapies, Ayurvedic doctor consultations and medicines, advanced diagnostics, metabolic therapy consultations, ketogenic dietitian consultations, and ongoing supplements, monitoring, and follow-up care. These treatments are all part of a comprehensive effort to support Suvarna’s body and give her the best possible chance to keep fighting this disease.

Despite using savings and doing everything within their means, the financial burden continues to grow. Between medical bills, consultations, specialized treatments, and ongoing therapies, the expenses have become extremely difficult to manage. That is why we are humbly asking for your help.
