Hi, my name is Phetsamone Chanthavong, but some may know me as Samone Chanthavong. First, I would like to say thank you for taking the time out from your busy day to read our story.

I created this GoFundMe account to help raise money to help my longtime partner, Suthep Krongyuti, who has been hospitalized since October 26, 2025, due to complications with his stomach, kidneys, and small intestines. Suthep was a former monk who resided at WatLao Samakhitham Temple in Castle Creek, NY, for 7 years. His heart of gold and caring soul are always ready to help others or the community when help is needed. Those who know him know his prior trauma back in 2011 when he lost his wife, children, and two relatives in a fatal car accident. Since then, he has not been hospitalized for anything.

On October 13, he left work early because he was feeling sick to his stomach and was throwing up. He thought it was a simple stomach bug and it would go away, but it didn’t. Seven days later, the pain got worse, and he wasn’t able to process any solid food or drinks without vomiting and feeling nauseous. He was weak and dehydrated, which caused his kidneys to shut down.

Any money donated will be used to pay for his medical bills, food, housing, and to pay child support to his disabled daughter. Any amount you donate will be greatly appreciated. And if you cannot donate at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well.
