I have taken classes, volunteered, grown my own vegetables, applied aquaponics, raised chickens, and traded and donated, and I want to do it all over again, but better.
Hobby farms can produce quite a lot. With a tiny, happy flock, I had too many eggs to feed 6 people and I was always looking for those who needed eggs to take them. Two people had lettuce for months. I want to do more and I want to give more.
Honey, marmalade, eggs, meat, compost, soap, vegetables, fruit, flowers--easily grown, happily raised, safely distributed, and environmentally as well.
Water will be recycled, aquaponics used, solar energy, rainwater collection, leftover crops and items will go to food pantries, butterflies and bats will be encouraged and aided, and trees will be planted.
Land and house: $2,000,000
Coop: $5000
Greenhouse: $1000
Starting livestock (3 chickens, 4 ducks): $100
Chick kit: $50
If there is ever any extra money, it will go to more safety and environmentally safe power.
