Hello. My name is Lynn Gilbert.

I am starting this Go Fund Me Fundraiser for my very dear friend,

Susan Toscano, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

As she is not yet eligible for Medicare, all donations received will go directly to bridge the gap in her insurance plan coverage and the very high full deductible amount of her plan.

Your generosity would allow her the peace of mind she needs to concentrate on her surgery, treatments and her recovery.

I met Sue in 1986 while she was the office manager of the former Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) in Newington,CT. I was hired by the owner,Steve Kitts, as their first official office gopher. Sue and I became life long friends from working together there.

I watched her build a strong community of friends and colleagues as she introduced thousands of students to a new career in massage therapy. She continued to guide the school and profession by opening and directing their Westport ,CT and Groton CT branches. Sue was involved in national licensing for massage therapists as well- just truly dedicated to our work.

In 2014, she moved to Florida with her husband Stephen to continue her career with the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy. Sue has changed an uncountable number of lives, including mine.

Sue grew up in the quintessential, picturesque New England town of Essex, CT. Recently she and I vacationed there for a couple of days at the Griswold Inn enjoying the beauty of our surroundings and celebrating our long friendship.

I am asking you to reflect for a moment on the charm of the simple love of true friends who have changed your life in some way- maybe they pointed you in a new direction or led you to a new understanding. In light of how many lives Sue has touched with her kindness, grace, humility, her sense of humor and professionalism, please help guide her now through her own challenging journey.
