Hello Everyone...My name is Susan, Am doing this fun raiser for myself..Its hard to talk about yourself because you have to say nice stuff about yourself.. I live in a small town in the panhandle of Oklahoma. I moved here about 3 years ago. I grow up in Liberal Kansas.. I have lived around this part for most of my life.. I decided I would make a good change in my life for the better..We moved to Beaver Ok..We got all moved. I landed a job here at the rest home for the elderly. My Dream Job. It took a few months to land the job, but I did it. I was so relieved I was finally getting on my feet financially. I could finally breathe. Around my fourth month of working at my job, I went to the doctor because I'd been having trouble with my tummy for a couple of years now. My primary care doctor had me take some tests, and I went back the next day. I went from working a full-time Job to having NO JOB. Finding out I have stage 4 Cancer. They found cancer in my colon, rectum, and liver. Stage 4!!!! I had to go file for disability and doing so my finances was cut in half. Going through all this cancer stuff in has not been that fun. I've had radiation, I've had a couple of surgeries, I've been in the hospital like four times for different illnesses due to having cancer, and I've had like 36 treatments of chemotherapy. I had surgery last year, December 14th, 2023, on my liver to remove the cancer. After waking up from surgery, they told me they got all the cancer out of my liver. They had to burn two spots, and they cut a chunk of liver out of me. About 2 weeks later, I had a scan done for the cancer doctor to see the progress of how the surgery went. The next day, my cancer doctor called and told me that I had to go back on chemotherapy right away. I asked him why, and he said all the spots that they had removed grew back, and there were new spots growing in the liver, so this means it came back with a vengeance. All I could think about was I did this surgery for nothing. It has been almost a year. I've been going through chemotherapy every 2 weeks. My cancer doctor said that I would be on chemo probably for the rest of my life. YES Cancer is my LIFE now..
I take a blood test to check for cancer in my blood and took another scan. I had good news from the cancer doctor; he said there was no cancer cells in my blood and that the spots on my liver have shrunk quite a bit. What does this mean for me for now? I'm kicking this cancer's ass. My cancer doctor is really amazed at how good I'm doing. It has been two and a half years, and the chemotherapy is still working on me like it is supposed to work. It's killing this freaking cancer. What a relief it is.
The last two and a half years have not been easy financially for me. I do live under the poverty line, way under it. Most of my supplies are covered by my insurance, but there are some supplies that my insurance will not cover, and that is kind of expensive. I cannot afford this because I live on a very tight budget. All your donations will help me get the right supplies that I need.
I finally got a better vehicle to drive. This vehicle is a gas hog. We had to put about $1000.00 into the truck when we got it. It runs like a charm now. I'm glad we got the vehicle, although it is a gas hog. I love the truck. It is a reliable, dependable truck for us. We travel 40 miles one way for chemotherapy and 40 miles back to where we live. I do this on a Monday, then on Wednesday, I'll go back to the cancer center to have my pump taken off. This is 160 miles in 2 days of wear and tear on a vehicle. My cancer treatment is in Kansas. My radiation is in Amarillo, Texas. And my cancer surgery doctor is in Wichita, and I have a cancer doctor in Liberal. A lot of doctors I see now in the last two years, I cannot believe it.
If anyone tells you I don't have a good outlook on having cancer, they are wrong. I might have stage 4 colon cancer, but I'm beating it. All my doctors can't believe how good I'm doing. I tell everyone that you have to have faith, and faith I do have. It helps when the chemo loves you....God has been beside me this whole entire time. He reminds me of His love and His devotion to me in this time of need. I do need your donations very, very much. It would really help me out, So what are you waiting for? Donate, donate! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Remember to have faith every day.
God bless everyone, and thank you very much. Please go donate, donate to me.
