My sister Susan is one of the hardest-working, most selfless people I know. She has spent her life helping others—driving a special needs bus for the Nebo School District and working at a daycare center, always showing up with patience, kindness, and a smile for every child she serves. She is also a devoted mom and is lovingly known as “Grandma Su Su” to her grandkids, who absolutely adore her. Now, she is the one who needs help.
Recently, she was diagnosed with cancer, but doctors have not yet been able to determine exactly what type. Because of this, treatment has not been able to begin, even though her condition is serious. As soon as the doctors identify the cancer, treatment will need to start immediately.
To receive the specialized care she needs, she will have to travel from Utah to the Mayo Clinic in Florida. This will mean frequent flights, extended stays away from home, and time away from work. Unfortunately, due to the severity of her symptoms—intense pain and overwhelming exhaustion—she will not be able to continue working during treatment.
Anyone who knows my sister knows how much she gives to others. She is the person who shows up when someone needs help, who works long hours without complaint, and who always puts others before herself. Now she is facing the fight of her life, and she cannot do it alone.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Travel expenses to and from Florida for medical care
• Lodging and meals during treatment
• Medical bills and related expenses
• Lost income while she is unable to work
Your support will help relieve the financial stress so she can focus on healing and fighting this disease. Every donation, share, and prayer means more than we can express.
