Susan is a U.S. Army Combat Medic veteran, a devoted mother of six, a proud grandmother, and a cancer survivor who has spent so much of her life caring for others. Through every chapter of her life, Susan has shown strength, compassion, and a deep commitment to her family and community. She has always been the kind of person who steps up when someone needs help, whether through her lifelong service or the kindness and generosity she has shared with others through the Loose Moose Cafe. Now, after already fighting cancer once, Susan has been diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. While treatment may help slow the progression and manage symptoms, surgery is not an option. This devastating diagnosis has brought overwhelming emotional, physical, and financial challenges for Susan and the people who love her most.

This fundraiser is being created to help ease some of that burden. Donations will go toward Susan’s medical bills and treatments that insurance will not cover, helping her family focus more on her care and comfort during this difficult time. Susan has spent her life showing up for others and lifting up those around her. Now it is our turn to stand beside Susan.
