Susanne is my dear friend, and in the short time I’ve known her, I’ve seen her face an incredibly difficult medical journey. Despite multiple surgeries and biopsies, doctors have not been able to diagnose the cause. This uncertainty has brought tremendous stress, and Susanne’s daily life is deeply affected. She struggles to eat and digest food, and the lack of nourishment and sleep leaves her exhausted. The emotional toll is heavy, and she’s been unable to work since the beginning of the year.

While Susanne is fortunate to have health insurance through the State of Minnesota that covers her medical bills, she is now facing urgent challenges with her living expenses. She needs help with her mortgage, utilities, and groceries as she waits for answers. Recently, Susanne underwent more tests and is hoping the results will finally reveal what’s causing her illness. She’s also working to connect with specialists at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, hoping they can find a diagnosis and a treatment plan that will restore her health.

Through all of this, Susanne’s strong faith and positive spirit have been remarkable. Even on the hardest days, she finds ways to laugh and bring light to those around her.
