My name is Kristy Money. The money part is a misnomer, though I wish it wasn't, because my dear friend needs support that I can't give her out of my own pocket. Her name is Ms. Susanna Howard and she was the first neighbor to befriend my husband and me in 2015 when we moved to our new neighborhood in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is in a complicated situation right now, as her son was blessed with a new kidney the SAME WEEK as her husband was hospitalized for Stage 4 Liver and Colon Cancer. Her husband has been the main breadwinner in the house, and now he's completely bedridden and unable to work. In another stroke of bad luck, Ms. Susanna's truck, her only means of transportation, was stolen from in front of her house about 3 weeks ago. We are creating this account to request financial support that will go towards a new vehicle for Ms. Susanna and her family and cover medical expenses for Ms. Susanna's husband and son. A cab from her house to each doctor appointment alone costs nearly 20 dollars. With her husband hospitalized and her son needing transportation to-and-from the dialysis treatment center 3 days a week, transportation is a must-have for my friend, Susanna. I know there are many causes that need your support in this new year, but I humbly ask that you give as much as your heart deems fit to help my friend. She would do the very same for you.
