Support Susana Sar's Fight for Recovery

Hi everyone, I am doing this donation on behalf of my niece Susana Sar. Susana is a beautiful and sweet 32 year old that is currently in the ICU.

My niece was admitted in the ICU 2 weeks ago due to respiratory distress and having Wagner’s disease it has been hard for her lung infection to clear up. While in the hospital she was so sick that she was trached and placed on ECMO. Her lungs needed extra support. The first day she was admitted she was bleeding out and doctor’s were not sure where she was bleeding from. Interventional radiologist found the source of her bleeding. We were thinking great we found the source. Unfortunately, it was her pulmonary artery they found a tear there. We were given only 2 options. One let her bleed out and then death or try to place a stent and she could die on the surgery table. We said let’s give her a fighting chance because we knew that she is a fighter. Her surgery was successful. The doctor’s were able to take her off ECMO a couple days later. You know how they say “ two step forward and one step back” she ended up having a small stroke to the right of her brain. She was still able to move all of her extremities even though left side is weaker than her right side. She had a few good days and was able to communicate with us and even tried to ask for soda. She was mad when the nurse said no because she is trached. She did get an ice swab and she was so happy for that. On Saturday 7/26 she began to bleed from the right lung again. IR was able to stop the bleeding again. However, her stroke converted to hemmorhagic stroke. She is still on the ventilator. She is on levophed to help with re perfusion and sedated so her lungs and brain can rest from excessive work. She might need an EVD for her brain to monitor brain pressure.

Susana just graduated last year from MATC as an X-ray tech. She and her partner Jonhnny of 15 years just bought a house 5 months ago. She just achieved her American dream and has not had a chance to enjoy her new house or job yet at Stoughton hospital.

We are asking for your help so my niece does not lose her house and to help pay for medical bills. Jonhnny has been at her bedside every day. We want to take some burden off of Jonhnny with your financial support. Any amount would be appreciated.
