My name is Sonja Gladwin, wife to Rod Straw, and we are raising funds for Susan (Sue) Buckman's Memorial and Funeral costs (my Mother-in-Law). Funds will go first to cover funeral costs and memorial, and any leftover funds will be used to help financially stabilize her husband, Richard Buckman. Any amount you can provide will be immensely appreciated and go directly to the family.
More about Sue:
Susan Lynn Buckman, 66, of Pasadena, Md., passed away on November 8, 2025. Her favorite title was Mom or Mom-Mom Sue, a beloved title that echoed in her ears with pride from her children and grandbabies.
Sue spent her life devoted to her family and her 'babies'. She didn't miss a chance to visit with family or friends or babysit one of her grandbabies. She loved her Baltimore Ravens and took every opportunity to sport her spirit wear with pride. Throughout her life she enjoyed many past times, including boating and socializing with her boat club family, the Laurel Club, as well as serving as Marley Boat Club Commodore. She also loved a good deal and would haggle with the best of them!
She enjoyed the simple things in life, being around her loved ones and saying "I love you" - handy out appreciation and gestures of love wherever she could. She opened her heart and her home to many of us over the years with open arms! She led with her heart and never apologized for that. It was impossible to doubt she had the best of intentions in every situation, even if she sometimes showed up a little late to a party! (Insert smile here!!)
No formal funeral services are planned at this time based on Sue's wishes. An informal celebration of life is planned for Saturday, December 6th at 1pm. For more information and to RSVP visit: https://www.facebook.com/events/1759079074775858
