On May 17, 2024, Susan Hausotter (nee Grothouse), Franciscan University Alumni (2013), suffered a stroke and went to the ER. She then was in the ICU for three weeks, where cancer masses were discovered near her brain, breasts, lymph nodes, and liver.

She has undergone multiple medical tests including X-rays, MRI, EKG, CT, EEG, PET, and more. Other expenses include two ambulance rides, medicine, biopsies, neurosurgery, chemo, 20 rounds of radiation.

Initially, all funds collected were to go towards medical expenses and other related costs.

Since starting the GoFundMe in the beginning of June, Susan’s biopsy came back confirming she has a very aggressive form of breast cancer. To respect Susan's privacy, the family has requested to keep her official diagnosis private. However, after discussing things with Jeremy, we have decided to increase her GoFundMe to include other non-medical expenses what will need to be planned for.
