Surry Village Charter School 7th and 8th Graders Are Going to Washington, DC!
Our students are thrilled to take part in the long‑standing New England tradition of visiting our nation’s capital in middle school. This immersive learning experience brings history, civics, and culture to life as students explore the Capitol Building?, Smithsonian museums, and many of the historic monuments they’ve studied in class.
The total cost of the trip is $1,500 per student, which puts this opportunity out of reach for some of our families. At Surry Village Charter School, we believe every student deserves access to meaningful educational experiences—regardless of financial circumstances.
Our goal is to raise $15,000, which will allow us to cut the cost for each student in half and ensure full participation. Every donation, big or small, moves us one step closer to making this trip possible for ALL students.
Your donation directly supports:
- Transportation and lodging
- Meals and entry fees
- Museum visits and educational programming
Please consider contributing today. Your generosity helps create memories, spark curiosity, and support our amazing students as they grow into engaged, informed young citizens.
Thank you for supporting this unforgettable experience!
