Hello, I'm Sun!

As a proud US citizen, woman of color, first-generation immigrant, mother of two, public school teacher, and community builder, I'm honored to serve as a first-time national delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago from August 18th to 22nd.

My journey to this moment is a testament to the power of democracy. 25 years ago, on May 3rd, I immigrated to America, seeking new opportunities. Becoming a US citizen was a dream come true, and I was motivated by my desire to vote and make my voice heard.

As a teacher and community leader, I'm committed to representing our community's values and voices at the DNC. However, attending the convention comes with significant expenses, including:

- Travel: $1,200 (airfare)

- Hotel: $2,500 (5-night stay in the DNC-assigned hotel)

- Extra: $1,000 (food, merchandise, transportation, and unexpected expenses)

- Total: $4,200
