Hi I'm sunny joy! I founded Revolution of the Heart Farm in 2022.

Revolution of the Heart Farm is a farm located in Portland, Oregon. Some of the food we grow are culturally significant foods to honor my ancestors while also growing foods common in the PNW. We try to make our produce as accessible and affordable as possible by accepting SNAP, giving out free food boxes, having a sliding scale, and offer front-door delivery. The goal of the farm isn't just to provide food but also eventually host workshops to teach people. We value the importance of having access to land and being in harmony with the land.

I'm fundraising so I can <ideally> buy a refrigerated van to deliver food to about 15 households! I was using my personal car to deliver but it recently died. I can take a bus to the farm but as of right now I don't have a way to deliver boxes once my CSA starts in June. Providing delivery is important to me because most of my CSA members don't drive/have access to a car. The refrigerated vans I've been looking at run for $30,000 to $80,000 but depending on how much I am able to raise, I'm okay just spending it on another SUV. My last SUV i was able to get it for about $3,000.
