Hello!

This is Sunny! He's a 15-year-old cutie! He loves to play, snuggle, and hang out with people!

He was recently rehomed to me since his past owner passed. In October, we found out he had glaucoma in his right eye. Vets think he has likely had it for a long time since he had a cataract in that eye as well, but it was never diagnosed or treated. We've been trying to treat it at home, but ultimately it was not getting better, and the best decision was to enucleate his eye (take it out!). This eliminates the pain he was in and also prevents a potential rupture (his eye pressure was incredibly high; rupture was very likely!).

Surgery happened but there were a some complications. He had to go to the ER :( We are monitoring and hoping for the best at the moment.

He may be old, but Sunny is still super healthy in every other sense!

I'm just a 24-year-old trying to make it in this expensive world with my sweetest cat. I love every second I've gotten to spend with Sunny and want to be able to help him through this! But with the vet bills, specialist consultations, surgery fees, emergency visit fees -- it has all been really adding up, and I would really appreciate any help I can get! (insurance isnt covering this because he's had glaucoma before i even adopted him)
