Hello everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to share that my husband, Sunny, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma — a rare form of blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system, which is part of the body’s immune system.
It all started a couple of months ago when Sunny noticed a lump in his throat. At first, we thought it might just be swollen glands. But when it grew larger, he acted quickly and contacted his GP. After a series of tests, including an MRI, ultrasound, and biopsy, we received the devastating diagnosis.
Since then, Sunny has undergone numerous blood tests and an ECG for his heart, and he will soon have a full-body PET-CT scan to check for any abnormal cells in his lymph nodes, bone marrow, and organs. The plan is for him to start chemotherapy in the next couple of weeks. While we’re incredibly hopeful that this treatment will not only fight the cancer but cure it, the journey ahead will be physically, emotionally, and financially challenging.
For the next six months, Sunny will be unable to work, and the financial strain on our family will be significant. That’s why we’re asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden and allow us to focus entirely on Sunny’s recovery.
Your donations will go directly towards:
• Covering the loss of income
• Hospital parking fees and transportation costs
• Fuel for the many trips to and from appointments
• Medical expenses not covered by NHS
• Nutritional support to keep Sunny as strong as possible during treatment
• To support his recovery and help rebuild his strength after chemo
Sunny is staying strong and positive, and we are holding onto the belief that he will overcome this. Your kindness, prayers, and messages of support mean the world to us.
Please keep him in your thoughts and help us share his story. Together, we know that Sunny will beat this.
With love and lots of gratitude,
Raj
