Help Sunni Heal, Recover, and Rebuild

Hi everyone, my name is Valerie.

Reaching out like this isn’t easy, but I’m doing it with a full heart and the hope that sharing my friend’s story will help her get through a chapter I’m sure she never imagined facing.

Recently, Sunni underwent a double mastectomy — a surgery that was necessary for her health, but also one that changed her life in ways she’s still learning to understand. The physical healing is slow, the emotional weight is heavy, and some days are very dark but she is grateful to have made it through the surgery,. The recovery has brought challenges she can’t manage alone.

She is unable to work while her body heals. The costs of living — rent, groceries, transportation, medical co-pays, and the little everyday things that keep life moving — have become overwhelming. She is resilient but the financial pressure has added a layer of stress that makes healing even harder.

I’m asking for help not because it’s easy, but because it’s necessary. Any support you can offer will allow her to focus on resting, rebuilding strength, and taking care of herself during this fragile time. No gift, donation or prayer is too small-even just sharing her story can make a meaningful difference.
