Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart. My sweet dog and best friend, Summit, a 7-year-old Husky/Malamute mix, was recently diagnosed with cancer in his right back hip. If you’ve been lucky enough to meet him, you know his thick, fluffy coat matches his huge, loving heart — a gentle giant whose playful spirit brightens everyone’s day.

I adopted Summit when he was just 4 months old, and ever since, he has been my loyal companion, adventure buddy, and source of constant love. He’s been healthy his entire life, so this diagnosis came as a complete shock.

Next week, Summit is scheduled for surgery to remove the cancerous growth. The tumor has been aggressive and growing rapidly, which makes timing critical. The doctors have explained that if we don’t act quickly or if during the surgery they can’t remove all of the cancer, amputation may become necessary — something we’re determined to avoid through successful surgery, careful post-operative care, and radiation treatments.

With that being said, due to a series of unfortunate events and the urgent timing of this necessary surgery, I am unable to cover the mounting medical bills on my own. That’s why I’m humbly asking for help. All funds raised will go directly toward Summit’s surgery, post-surgery care, radiation, and recovery.

Summit is my world, and I can’t imagine life without his joyful spirit by my side. That’s why I want my fur baby to have the healthiest, longest life possible. Every contribution, no matter how big or how small, will make a meaningful impact towards helping him heal and return to his happy, playful self.
