Summer Poulton is a great coworker, friend, ride buddy, confidant, homie, meme miner, and all around wonderful person. She brings the positive energy to work and is beloved at the Spar Cafe in Olympia. On January 6th, while snowboarding at Crystal Mountain, Summer had a serious accident that resulted in a complete fracture of her L2 vertebrae. The injury is severe enough that she now needs spinal surgery to fuse her spine from T-11 to S1. This has been a sudden and life-changing event for Summer, and she is facing a long road to recovery.

As Summer prepares for surgery and the healing process ahead, she is worried about how she will manage her daily needs. Being in the restaurant industry Summer will not be able to work for months, so the funds will help cover normal expenses as well as the medical bills and necessary physical therapy into the future. The funds raised will also help her take care of herself, ensure her dog, Steve, is cared for, and keep up with her car payments. I want to make sure Summer doesn’t have to worry about losing her car while she focuses on healing. Every bit of support will help ease her stress and allow her to concentrate on getting better.

Summer is a selfless and giving person. She has shown me so much compassion and support during my own difficult times this year.
