My name is Skye, and I’m starting this GoFundMe to help my sister, who is only 32 years old and a mother of three beautiful children, as she begins a journey no one should ever have to face.

My sister was recently diagnosed with a very rare form of ovarian cancer. As you can imagine, this news has been heartbreaking and overwhelming for our entire family. At just 32 years old, she should be focused on raising her babies, enjoying life, and making memories with her children—not having to navigate the uncertainty and challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.

Unfortunately, we know this road ahead is going to be a long one. She will be traveling back and forth to the Mayo Clinic for specialized care, appointments, and treatment. While we are hopeful that Mayo will help provide the best possible care and guidance for her rare diagnosis, the reality is that these trips come with significant expenses beyond the medical bills themselves.

I am creating this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial burden so my sister can focus on what matters most, her health, treatment and babies.

Donations will help cover:

• Gas and travel expenses for trips to and from Mayo Clinic

• Hotel stays and lodging during appointments and treatment

• Insurance copays and deductibles

• Medical expenses and fees that insurance may not cover

• Meals and other necessities while traveling

• Unexpected expenses that may arise throughout this journey
