Support Summer's Fight Against Leukemia

Hi, my name is Ashley Purvis. On July 12th, my daughter collapsed and was taken to the Stormont-Vail emergency room. It was there they did a full blood work-up and found that she had leukemia.

Summer was immediately transferred by a critical care team to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City. Since she has been here, she has already undergone a blood transfusion and a plasma transfusion. She will have a bone marrow biopsy done on Monday 7/15/24, as well as a lumbar puncture to determine the exact type of Leukemia she has. This poor baby will be undergoing chemotherapy and a battery of other tests and exams for an undetermined amount of time. Summer's hospital is a little over an hour from home. Summer has a little brother who is autistic and he is not doing so well being in the hospital, but we have no way to pay for childcare for him. We need help so that I can be with her full time in the hospital. We need donations to help us cover the childcare, food, gas, and other expenses in the meantime. We may also face problems with our vehicle, it is old and has an exhaust leak. So anything at all helps.
