Support Summer Taube's Fight Against Hodgkin's Lymphoma

Dear friends, family and kind strangers,

We are reaching out to inform everyone, with concerned yet hopeful hearts that our beloved Summer needs our help! Recently Summer received news no one ever wants to hear: a cancer diagnosis. In particular Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Summer is an extraordinary young woman who has already achieved so much in life, with lofty goals of so much more. She attended the university of Wyoming as a star soccer player and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Kinesiology and physiology, all while maintaining a 3.94 GPA! Since ending her career in soccer while playing abroad, Summer has been working full time as an optometric technician where she resides in Wilmington, NC. Her dream is to attend University to become an Optometrist. For the better part of a year she has been studying diligently for her upcoming entrance exams, scheduled for October of this year.

Summer is scheduled to begin Chemotherapy August 2nd. Due to ongoing medical care, tests and minor surgeries she has had to (and will continue to ) miss large amounts of work. Unfortunately the financial burden is beginning to mount dramatically. Despite these challenges Summer remains the most positive, generous and compassionate person we all know and love. As always, never waivering in her readiness to give her time and energy to help others.

This fund has been started to HELP our daughter, sister, friend, relative and all around amazing person focus on what's most important: Getting healthy and moving forward with a long and happy life!
