Early last year, our roommate adopted the sweetest gray kitten Sully (also known to our house as Babycat). At only 3 months old, he was struck with a medical emergency: a blockage in his intestine that had become an intussusception, requiring immediate surgery to save his life. In the span of an afternoon, he was rushed to the emergency and by evening he was undergoing the operation. We learned from the vet that he was in early sepsis and would have died within hours if not for intervention.
Between the cost of emergency surgery, hospitalization, IV fluids, medication, and post-surgery care, the cost is quite high. While our roommate has been faithfully paying off the bills as well as possible, we want to help her in every way that we can and ease the financial and emotional strain.
Sully is alive and well, and the delight of our apartment—none of us can imagine our life without him, and we hope to ease the burden that our friend has taken on for his sake. Any amount helps, whether big or small, and we are hugely grateful to anyone who can donate!
