Hi, everyone. I am suki’s mom and asking help for her treatment. Suki is in need of financial assistance due to multiple unexpected veterinary expenses for my dog, Suki. She suddenly became very sick and had to be taken to an emergency veterinary hospital, where she was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE), a serious condition that required immediate care.
During the first emergency visit (March 22), I was charged a total of $1,180.34 for the initial consult, lab work, parvo testing, fluids, and medications to stabilize her . This visit was necessary to quickly assess her condition and rule out life-threatening causes.
Two days later, I had to return for continued care and treatment, which added another $456.16 in costs for medications, fluids, and follow-up care .
In addition, the veterinary hospital provided an estimate showing that total treatment costs could reach more since she’s still pooping blood and further diagnostics, imaging, and care are needed. The veterinarian explained that if Suki does not improve quickly, she may require additional visits, more testing, or even hospitalization, which would significantly increase the total cost.
Although I have pet insurance, my claim was denied because my policy cannot help me. This has left me fully responsible for all of these expenses.
As a student, I am on a limited income, and these back-to-back emergency visits were completely unexpected. Managing over $1,600 already spent, along with the possibility of additional costs, has created a serious financial strain.
Suki is very important to me, and I acted quickly to get her the care she needed. Any financial assistance, prayers and shares would greatly help me manage these expenses and continue her treatment if her condition does not fully resolve.
I would not want to lost suki, suki is my family and I hope for her to overcome this!
Thank you for your time and consideration.
