Suki Aerobic Gymnastics Club, a cornerstone of the Gosport community since 2004, has launched a fundraising campaign to raise £21,000 for a new gymnastics floor at their facility. This initiative aims to improve training conditions for over 180 dedicated members, ranging from beginners to international competitors, ensuring they have access to the best possible environment to develop their skills safely and effectively.
The club was founded 20 years ago by Su Killeen, the Director of Coaching, who is also an international judge. Her dedication and expertise have played a pivotal role in shaping the success of Suki Aerobic Gymnastics Club, fostering a strong community and helping gymnasts reach national and international levels.
Natalie Dickinson, a former Great Britain squad member, emphasizes the importance of the new floor: "Upgrading our equipment is essential to provide our gymnasts with a professional space to train. A high-quality floor reduces the risk of injuries and allows our athletes to perform at their highest level."
To help reach the £21,000 goal, the club has launched this GoFundMe campaign, allowing supporters to contribute directly online. Donations of any amount will help bring the club closer to its target and provide young gymnasts with the resources they need to succeed.
In a significant boost to the campaign, the local council has pledged £5,000 towards the new floor, demonstrating their support for grassroots sports and community development. This generous contribution means the club now needs to raise the remaining £16,000 to make this project a reality.
Your support is much appreciated
