In honor of my younger brother, Andrew Fraser, and in an effort to support and raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention, I will be competing in the Harvest Moon Triathlon in Boulder, CO on May 31, 2026.
For those of you that knew Andrew, you knew he was a force of nature — someone who brought energy and charisma to everything he did. Andrew was a great athlete, and towards the end of his life he made a commitment to train and compete in a triathlon. I still remember the call when he told me about it. The excitement in his voice was impossible to miss. Competing in a triathlon was always something I had longed to do myself, and I told him on that call we would do one together someday. We never got that chance.
So I'm doing it now. And I know I'm going to feel him with me every mile of the race. Losing Andrew has profoundly changed how I see the world - life, mortality, and especially mental health. The truth is, mental health is nothing to take lightly. Everyone around you is carrying something, whether they show it or not. We've been conditioned by society to suppress what we feel, to push through, to never show weakness. But staying silent and keeping it all in may be one of the most costly mistakes any of us can make.
I'm fundraising to support an incredible organization, LifeAct - one near and dear to my family and our hometown of Cleveland, OH. Their mission is to prevent youth and teen suicide by teaching young people how to recognize the warning signs of depression and suicide, and empowering them to seek help for themselves and others. Your donation can make a real difference in helping young people feel less alone in their thoughts and emotions.
Your donations will directly support LifeAct's vital work by:
Providing educational programs to equip students with the knowledge and tools to identify mental health issues
Offering resources and support for young people in crisis, ensuring they know help is available
Join me in this collective effort to foster a brighter future for our youth. Every contribution counts, no matter the size. Let's stand together to save lives.
With love and gratitude,
