Our Story — The Cry of Suha Sabri Abu Nasr and Her Family

My name is Suha Sabri Abu Nasr, and I am writing these words on behalf of my family with a heart shattered by war.

We are a family that has been broken piece by piece.

Our life as we once knew it no longer exists. We have no home to return to, no safety to promise our children, and no certainty about tomorrow. What remains with us now is fear, cold nights, and the pain of waiting for the unknown.

What Happened to Us

During the war, the father of our family and our son were both injured.

A father who was once the strength and protection of his children is now struggling with pain and injury, unable to provide or shield them as he once did.

A child who should be playing, laughing, and dreaming is instead carrying wounds far heavier than his young age.

Their injuries are not only physical. Every time we look at them and realize we cannot afford the cost of their medical treatment, our hearts break all over again.

Our Living Conditions Now

We are living without a tent, without walls, and without a roof.

When it rains, our children are soaked.

When the cold intensifies, their small bodies shiver until exhaustion forces them to sleep.

We have no winter clothes, no blankets, and no place we can truly call shelter — not even a place where we can say, “This is where we will sleep tonight.”

The hardest moments are not the sound of bombs.

They are the quiet moments when a child looks up and asks:

“Mama, why are we so cold?”

And I have no answer — only tears I try to hide so they do not see my weakness.

Why We Are Asking for Help

We have reached the edge of complete helplessness. With broken hearts, we are asking for help to secure the most basic necessities of life:

A tent to protect our children from rain and cold

Winter clothes and blankets to keep them warm

Medical treatment for the injured father and son

Food to ease our children’s hunger

How the Funds Will Be Used

All donations will be used directly to provide shelter, warmth, medical care, and food for my family — essentials that allow us to survive one day at a time under these harsh conditions.
