Support my friend Suhaib's family to rebuild their lives and live safely in Gaza.

My name is Suhaib Al-Atrash, and I am from Gaza, Nuseirat Camp. It is difficult to express the hardship of eleven months of war, violence, destruction, and loss. However, I will try, because I am in dire need of help. Otherwise, my family and I will not be able to survive. Our house was bombed and has become uninhabitable. Fortunately, we survived and moved to a rented apartment in a neighbor’s house. We eat, drink, and sleep together in the same apartment. Life revolves around fear, insecurity, and finding water. I walk long distances every day and stand in long queues to get water and food, especially as we enter winter. Even then, the water is often so contaminated that we cannot drink or use it.

This situation is devastating and humiliating. We are unable to work because of the war and the lack of a safe place, but we need money more than ever. This is not just a war of destruction, but also a war of extortion. The prices of basic foodstuffs and supplies are extremely high, and sometimes we cannot afford to eat because we have no money. We eat very little, collect firewood and paper, and burn cardboard to cook. I am living a nightmare, and the trauma has affected me and my family deeply. I have lost so many family members and friends that I can no longer count them. We have endured very difficult days due to the separation from our loved ones. However, we are still doing our best, thank God, and we believe that relief will come, especially with your support for the Palestinian cause. For this reason, I am asking for donations for my family. I wish I didn’t have to, but I have no other choice. This is the only GoFundMe campaign we have.

My family consists of me, my three brothers, my sister, my father, and my mother. My brother is married and has a wife and two children, as shown in the picture. I love these children, and I will do anything to ensure their safety and try to ease our daily suffering, thanks to your generous donations. Every donation is important to me, no matter the amount. Thank you for caring about me and my family. Unfortunately, we have nowhere else to turn.
