Overnight on April 11th, a massive fire broke out in one of the apartment buildings at Sugarloaf Estates in Sunderland, MA. The blaze forced many residents to evacuate immediately, leaving behind their belongings and facing an uncertain future. Families, students, and long‑time community members have suddenly found themselves displaced and in need of support as they work to recover from this devastating event.

I am a resident of Sugarloaf Estates and have lived here for several years. While I do not personally know the families who were directly impacted, I know the good nature of this community and the neighbors who call this place home. Seeing members of our community go through something so difficult has moved me to help in any way I can.

All funds raised through this fundraiser will be converted into gift cards for retailers where residents can purchase whatever they need most—food, clothing, household essentials, or other necessities. I have already spoken with the property manager at Sugarloaf Estates about this plan, and I will continue coordinating with them throughout the fundraiser. Once the funds are converted into gift cards, I will deliver them directly to the property manager, who will contact the affected families and arrange for distribution.

Because multiple families were impacted, I have not added individual beneficiaries to this fundraiser. Instead, I will personally collect the donations, convert them into gift cards, and ensure they are delivered to the property manager for fair and direct distribution to those affected.
