Hi. This is Dennis and I'm trying to raise money to help the love of my life of 45 years. Many of you may be aware of some of the many health issues Sue has had over the last two years. She has fought hard to recover from bacterial infections that nearly took her life. Instead it took the only kidney she had which was a gift in 2016. The meds she had to take to save her life from the bacterial infection destroyed that kindey. She's now in dialysis at home. I have been doing her treatments for over a year now.

Well it seems that just when we felt we could settle in and start to try to enjoy life, along came another problem. Sue developed a wound on the heel of her foot. After seeing express care, the ED (three times), a podiatrist and our primary over the course of several months we learned that the wound was because there was no blood flow from the back of her kneee down to the foot. The wound grew to gangrene and two of her toes turned black as well as her heel. After vascular suregry they were able to open up some of the vessels in her leg but only a few in her foot.

We have now been told that the two toes are not salvagable and will need to be amputated. We had hope that would be the exyent of it. Unfortunately, we have also been told that not enough blood flow is going to her foot to promote any healing of the wound on her heel. That being the case they will have to remove the entire foot. That final decision will be made in two weeks.

Most of you know that we own our house and we live on the second floor. Moving is not an option. So I must modify our house to accomodate her special needs as soon as possible. She's going to need a walk in shower so she can access it easily. I am also going to have to install a ramp to get her from the ground to the proch and then find a chair lift so she can ride up the stairs.

Of course all that costs money. A lot of money. I am hoping that our friends and family will be able to help us financially to get these projects done as soon as possible.

There will be many other needs we will encounter along the way and hopefully we will be able to meet those challenges. But for the time being, we need help to face these imeadiate necessary modifications
