Support Sue's Journey to Recovery

Hello! I am raising funds to support my very dear friend Sue Drake who had her left foot amputated on May 29th 2024. Sue has brought so much love and light into my life and I want to reach out to you all to help support her and bring extra love and light into her life as she works towards recovery.

In October of 2020 Sue went in for a routine surgery to remove bunions from her foot. Following that surgery, Sue’s foot did not heal. Over the last four years Sue has met with multiple doctors, attempted multiple skin graphs, different attempts at wound healing and surgeries all to try and heal Sue‘s foot. In Decomber of 2023 Sue was diagnosed with scleroderma, a skin disorder which was preventing her foot from healing. With this diagnosis, the next step was managing scleroderma. In May of 2024 Sue met with one finial Plastic Surgeon to see if he could attempt to save her foot. They consulted with an Orthopedic Surgeon and evaluated the condition of Sue’s foot and came to the conclusion that Sue’s foot could not be saved. The next step was amputation to make the best step forward to finally healing Sue after 4 long years of trying.

We are raising funds to to help lessen the financial burden while Sue focuses on rehab and recovery. Any dollar that you can give will be used towards Sue’s medical bills.
