Help Sue Get the Care and Mobility She Deserves
Our beloved daughter-in-law, Sue, has recently received the devastating news of being double diagnosed with both Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)—two progressive neurological diseases that have profoundly impacted her life over the past year.
A Rapid Decline in Health
Sue’s condition has deteriorated quickly:
She is now completely wheelchair-bound due to loss of mobility.
Her upper body and hands are too weak to perform even the simplest of tasks.
She requires full-time, 24-hour personal care to assist with daily living, including personal hygiene and medical support.
ALS has also begun to affect her breathing, requiring her to use an external respirator to help her breathe.
Despite these overwhelming challenges, Sue’s spirit remains remarkably positive and cheerful, inspiring all of us every day.
Urgent Needs: Transportation, Care & Medical Support
Sue remains housebound, as their current vehicle cannot accommodate a wheelchair and cannot be modified to suit her needs.
Medicare and private insurance do not cover many of the critical services and equipment she now depends on:
A wheelchair-accessible van for medical appointments and personal outings
In-home personal care services
Essential medical equipment and breathing support
How You Can Help
We are raising $30,000 to ensure Sue can live with dignity, mobility, and the care she needs. Your donation will go directly toward:
Purchasing a wheelchair-accessible van
Funding ongoing personal care
Covering medical equipment and related expenses
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to giving Sue the support system she so desperately needs and deserves.
