Support Sue Tighe Cushman After the Loss of her son, James
Donation protected
Dear Fellow Oswego Greek Alumni,
As many of you have learned this past week, Sue Tighe Cushman suffered the untimely death of her eldest son, James Tighe Cushman, under extremely tragic circumstances. Sue is heartbroken beyond measure and is still processing the horrific string of events that unfolded.
In dealing with such immeasurable pain and grief, Sue is also faced with the reality of mounting expenses in the wake of James' death. In response, a small circle of Sue's sorority sisters has organized a private fundraiser through GoFundMe to help defray these expenses. The private GoFundMe account is being managed by Eileen Hartmann's 501c3 organization. By going this route, Sue will benefit from 100% of the funds donated, which will go toward related medical, funeral, and counseling expenses.
The purpose of a "private" fundraiser (versus public) is to protect Sue from hateful onlookers. We ask that if you decide to share this link, please use your utmost discretion. Sue does not deserve any additional hurt by people who would abuse this link for incendiary purposes.
The Greek Community at Oswego remains a constant source of joy and fond memories for Sue. While we cannot take away Sue's grief, the outpouring of love she receives from us will provide much-needed support and comfort as she navigates her difficult road ahead. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
