Support Sue Nebel's Battle Against Breast Cancer

Hello friends, family and gracious givers.

On 11/5/2024, a doctor uttered the words no woman wants to hear, “Breast Cancer”. That day will forever be a day that the world seemed to stop for a moment for my dear friend, Sue Nebel. She was diagnosed with Atypical Duct Hyperplasia, Positive for Invasive Carcinoma. She underwent Lymph Node removal surgery just before Thanksgiving. A time where you’re supposed to reflect on what you’re thankful for was filled with thoughts of all the challenges that lie ahead. The surgery was very painful for her and required a large incision. Follow-up physical therapy to prevent contracture of the tendons left her in pain and exhausted.

The next step in her journey will start after Christmas, when she will face five days of radiation per week. The treatments will be exhausting both physically and mentally. She will need a repeat mammogram in March and then ongoing every 3 months, followed by 5 years of medicine and appointments. The list goes on and on.

Sue has a heart of gold and anyone who knows her knows that she is also one of the most giving, caring and genuine people. Not only does she have 5 children of her own, she has also given the gift of children to several others through 5 surrogacies. Families literally all around the world have been blessed due to the selfless and loving person that she is.

Not only does cancer take a toll on you physically and mentally, but the financial burden can also be overwhelming. Co-pays, deductibles and lost wages are obstacles that are very difficult to overcome. Insurance will only cover so much financially so Sue and her family will have to shoulder the burden of the rest. This is why this page is being set up.
